2020: Randall out, Ralph in?

I've been hearing suggestions that Randall will be departing the company shortly before 2020 or at the conclusion of the "2020" plan and Ralph will be the new CEO?

Telco and copper are for sale and being shopped, copper Uverse, global lines, etc.

They are also hoping for wireless and SatTv to be bought as well.

All cups no string is their NEW goal.

.. Nice try, Stankey. Just kidding. Don't know enough about the guy but I think Ralph is the heir apparent.

Won't happen, if the CEO did not loose his job after the T-Mobile fiasco, no one is going anywhere.

Fire Donovan and Chow along with him.

Anyone but Donovan, that guy just regurgitates last decade's Silicon Valley trends and tries to claim them as "innovation".

Far more likely for Donovan to take the helm.

Why they did not fire him a long time ago is beyond me. Randall was responsible for screwing up the T-Mobile deal giving T-Mobile the cash and spectrum it needed to come back and fight and in avertedly causing a price war. Jumping into this DirectTV merger which is an expensive disaster. Publishing all these stupid PR post in New York Times, basically telling his employees to get another job if you read between the lines. If AT&T wanted to save money, they should of fired this guy fast. Imagine saving $26 Million a year his annual salary. How many jobs that would of saved.

Except with Randall it is "Adapt or else you have to take this terrible 100 million dollar golden parachute."

Randall must not be putting in his 5-10 hours of training a week. He's the "or else" in his statement "adapt, or else".

Well something needs to change that's for sure. When Warren Buffet decides to dump T stock something is up.

"Last quarter, Berkshire Hathaway unloaded 20% of its stake in the telecom operator AT&T in a move that could signal Buffett and his talented minions are beginning to worry a little about cracks in AT&T's armor."

The Chairman's suite certainly needs new blood. Not sure is Ralph is the right guy. He gives me the sleazy used car salesman vibe. If we want to get out of the kiddie pool and be a real technology company; they need someone with technical chops, preferably someone from the outside.

Having Ralph step in will be a refreshing change. Ralph seems to me to be a straight forward educated man. Hopefully, this will actually take place.

It would make a LOT of sense. Randal is trying to do something huge out of desperation and Ralph is giving him enough rope to hang himself with. Unless the stock price finally gains some traction, Randal won't be long for this world.
