I have spent the last 3 hours looking for a new job with the Love Boat theme song playing over and over. Maybe I will not get thrown overboard again. Sail away mates..... Hold on the theme from Love American Style just came on. Here we go now.

I used to hold on and accept the abuse or Dismissive nature because I enjoyed the prestige of saying I worked at a well known company and loved that health benefits were comparably inexpensive but as my health was deteroriating...I was relueved to be let go of. There's no amount of money or prestige that can buy health and peace.
Now I have that song stuck in my head. Come Sail Away might be a better pick for us. My Rif'd guy took a pay cut and a serious loss in perks and benefits. But he wakes up every morning smiling and joking instead of being prodded out of bed for an uncomfortable meeting with the friendly fellows across the sea that were learning his job for some mysterious reason. I never could understand what they were saying, but he sometimes could which I think is quite a useful skill in IT these days. We listened to the first unemployment webinar just to see if there were free IT type of courses offered. I teared up hearing all of the people joining webinar and he was gutted when he heard a familiar name. So we never did find out if there was anything worthwhile offered other than some admittedly useful resume tips given in the webinar.
