2cur, there's not the same open exchange of ideas at the site you're referencing so therefore it's useless as a replacement for this site. Are you that unhelpful at work when asked to solve a problem, giving an answer that useless and doesn't address anything? ;-)

I thought this forum was exactly to discuss this topic instead it has become another Union page if we want to read that information we could just go to the stand up to Verizon page. "word" is once the frontier transaction closes on 4/1 there will be another RIF in both wireless and wireline, we are hearing end of April then others say they are holding on to the headcount until they publish the contract as a just in case but word is it is very doubtful the union will walk as what they have now is the last 'best' they will ever see time will tell

Hearing a 5% RIF for Wireless Network later this year. Last October my group lost roughly 10% (employees and lower management). So now morale is terrible, Remaining management is paralyzed and afraid to make a decision. All of the groups top performers are leaving for less toxic environments. The admistrative load of the remaining team members has doubled due to the flatter more efficient reorg (sarcasm emoji). Oh, and someone (in a non-Union Engineerig office) asked me last week what a card check involves. Wireless has been off course since the Vodaphone buyout and has just entered a death spiral. My parachute is packed and I'm ready to jump.
