Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

1.4 BILLION DOWN THE DRAIN AS VERIZON PULLS OUT OF CLOUD SERVICES.

Just a few short years ago Lowell McAdam's Verizon bought Terremark for 1.4 billion to enter into the tech data field of cloud services. Today he closed it with an enormous loss. it never became a contender, Verizon's public cloud services failed to catch up to market leaders like Amazon and Microsoft. and now Verizon has given their customers an eviction notice that they have just two months to vacate their data from Verizon’s cloud or face terminal deletion. Oh well, it was just 1.4 Billion dollars, we can layoff a few thousand more to ease the sting of this failure. oops.

Proof positive that Lowell McAdam is incompetent, corrupt and criminal and should be fired and behind bars, and take the rest of the Board Of Directors with him into prison.

"It was a glitch"

"That slipped through the crack"

"What outage?"

"That was beyond our control"

"The equipment vendor caused it"

"It was a software upgrade"

"I've never heard that before"

"We're working through this"

ZERO accountability.

And don't forget in Nov 2013, the Department of Health and Human Services discontinued its contract with Terremark, the web-hosting provider for HealthCare.gov, after they found Terremark was responsible for "outages that disrupted the website". Remember that?

Did any leadership at Terremark get the ax for that?

Limp dick bought his friends franny, marky, then put them in charge of ruining this place.

Now little diego gets to play in the sandbox.

Verizon is a total joke, now it stinks like curry and piss.

The McAdam family....

The proud 200,000 or so employees, should all celebrate this most recent executive failure, by treating ourselves to a week off, ALL TOGETHER. I wonder if that would send a loud and clear message to the board and wall street.

Just remember back to 2007 and who was the first carrier to offer the iPhone. That person in Verizon Wireless missed that opportunity. He is now the big boss.

$106 billion in debt and these clowns want to buy Yahoo for another $8 billion. Someone do SOMETHING to stop the stupidity! Oh wait, the board are all friends too so they will never kick Lowmac and Shamwow to the curb. It's almost like Verizon is the Titanic and Yahoo is the iceberg. Hopeless...

The hits just keep on coming for Lowell and the boys. 130 Billion for Vodafone. Way way, way over paid. Now getting slammed by T-Moble and Sprint. What a horrendous deal, Lowell never saw a price war coming in the wireless industry?? and by the way, that was borrowed money, So as he writes checks to the banks every month. Verizon is hemorrhaging customers to the other carriers every month. and then he writes the heavy losses off to the wireline side, just to make sure to kill that side too. Is this guy for real? You couldn't make this disaster up. Lowell is single handily destroying a once proud, and great company, with the wonderful employees that built it. It's sicking.

Would have been nice if they actually did something with the product.. Seems they buy consolidate and kill everything they can... We could have been using it internally and save a few hundred million maybe a billion or so, but no we get GO90 and AOL... Future failures, too late into the space, let them buy Yahoo, they'll end up cutting staff their as well. Resurrect LYCOS while their at it, why not it's only money... I was @Bell Atlantic before VZW, years before I left and took a real job then went back for a few years, place never changed, same incompetence just got promoted to hire and higher levels... Glad to be free of it...

Hey, we can't win them all. It's only people's lives, what's the big deal. Hold on I have to cash in some stock options I was given.

That's okay we have go90 and AOL. Those are winners! 1.4 billion is chump change compared to what is being dumped into those pits.

This Corporal of Industry is a complete Jack-ass...take a look at his ridiculous profile on LinkedIn. Just a ROTC welfare case, that has been getting by on somebody else's dime all his life.
