Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

The best transparent part of this all is WBG. They send emails after hours just to see who is playing the game. So 1990s.

Well, I sometimes send emails/do work after hours because I have flex time, take kids to school, Dr appts, etc. Not kissing ass, I think it just depends on the department.

in IT, the VDSI - India employees send out of normal work hours e-mails (time zone...they are working while we are sleeping) to show the state-side Managers and Directors ...how "Hard" they are working. The ppl who do it on-shore are just A-kissers.

A lot of former VPs used to think that too many after hours emails reflected badly on a business group. "If you can't get your work done during working hours what are you doing during the work day that makes you so inefficient?" True, true.

do you really want to work for a company that does this? No life balance and all work work work. trust me, I have been here for many years and it does not payoff. They are pushing the older employees out and the ones that they gave their life to Verizon. This is what they get?
