Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

A novel concept

I had an amazing experience the other day. I had to return a gift to Neiman Marcus. I got up to the counter, handed over the box and receipt, and in about 30 seconds was handed back a receipt with a smile and a thank you. What? Just like that, that's it??? You mean a customer can return a product without being bullied and berated like what happens when someone tries to return something in a Verizon store??? I'm shocked!

Why is this on the layoff board?

Good for you, you work at Verizon and can afford to shop at Neiman Marcus.

Whatever their "margins" are you don't know and I don't know. Seems to me like VZ makes a good profit, gets tax breaks and govt pays the bill for them to fix copper after a hurricane.

(Or did the govt pay for them to REMOVE the copper?)

Verizon had a reputation for a good wireless network, but they also have a terrible reputation for shafting their customers. That can't be a good thing for retaining them.

If the press were not so corrupt, VZ would have a worse reputation.

Verizon says they want to court Millennials, but they have unenlightened upper mgmt who do not seem to get them.

And now free WIFI coming to NYC. (Don't worry, verizon don't need data plans, they are going into show business!)

Stay tuned.

The large department stores also have humongous margins. That pair of jeans you buying there for 200 bucks, they are probably making 150 bucks on it. They can afford that good looking girl to sell that pair of jeans you are buying there for 200 bucks, they are probably making 150 bucks on it. They can afford that good looking girl to sell it, and they can also throw away three pairs of jeans and still make money

How about the VZW reps that shut off your home wired services and port everything over to wireless without telling the customer. "Just sign here on the screen for a promo offer" is what they say as they hustle you through the checkout. Complete scumbag tactics..... Happen at Neiman Marcus?

Hello, I'm with Neiman Marcus HR. Would you kindly post the name of that employee so we can get her termination notice underway?

People at the Verizon Wireless stores do seem to have an attitude, but they have to deal with people who have problems who also have an attitude.
