@FnpBoAE-acf - that's 85,000 per year, plus thousands more to those institutions who are exempt from the cap (institution of higher education, a related or affiliated nonprofit entity, a nonprofit research

organization, or a governmental research organization). An H-1B visa is valid for three years and renewable one time for an additional three years. The vast majority of H-1B visas go to workers in the STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) fields. Of those, the vast majority go to those in the technology field. At any given time, there can be at least 510,000 (and that's being generous to your argument). So comparing 85,000 to the total labor force of 160 million is comparing apples to oranges.

H1b 85,000 yes, L1 visas unlimited, Microsoft, IBM, HP are biggest (AB)users of this visa. Moving their people from cheaper locations to other places. B1 tourist visitor visa holders working in USA. which is fraud. 20 years X 85,000 also gives an idea what the scale is. H1b and B1 have become offshoring visas. Bring them here, train and send them back to train others, so lots more jobs lost.

Why would million Americans live in Mexico ? It doesn't make sense. But yes I don't condone multinational companies going everywhere and destroying local industries and also environment.

But being displaced 3 times and now directly replaced by a contracting (bodyshopping) firm using H1b with no experience and having to train them is no fun, believe me.

There are yearly caps on H1B, so you're not going to get more than about 85,000 a year. With a labor force of 160 million, this is a drop in the bucket. There are about a million Americans who live in Mexico, and 700,000 who live in Canada. It's not like we don't displace their jobs also in other countries.
