Thread regarding AT&T Inc. layoffs

Everything will come to pass

I started working for at&t when I was 20 years old as a PT phone rep. I went up the ladder slowly but surely and now I have been offered a job in Texas, (voluntold) because the center I started with is closing. I am grateful they did select me however, I am concerned for the folks that will be left with no job and a less than expected exit package. Some of the folks I have know for years plus. I do not have really any info except that the center I work at in the SE is Closing and if the managers were not offered a job in TX, they will not have a job. This may not happen until well into 2016 it all depends on when the building in TX is Finished.

All managers call SE region 1/14. I'll come back and post after to let you know what it's about. Unlike the poster from December.

always have a plan B , working for this type of company. The question becomes "how old are you?"

Sounds like the Charlotte center. The Lucent switch group was reduced from 65 to 14. Writing is on the wall for that place. Really sad and stressful. How can you maintain that network with 14 people. The answer is you cant.

Can you kindly tell us which center you belong to. Which city. This information will help us a lot. We are trying to find which centers are closing.
