1som I am not sure you are correct. I agree low Mac would hate to PAY to rid himself of us Union associates, BUT Vz board may force him offer an eisp. True he will be gulping down handfuls of tums non stop to settle his stomach, it will burn him that much. BUT just the thought of no more Union makes low mac and the board hold hands and pray hard every day. It would be a dream come true for vz. Truly, they loath and despise us, just as much as we loath & despise them. Offer an eisp vz and we can BOTH be rid of what curses our lives.

To lowmac we are something he gets on the bottom of his shoe when he walks thru the dog park. Where you and I see people he sees rodents. I believe he sees culling or even complete eradication of the vermin infesting the company as essential to his future.
LowMac and crew just want you to quit .... that way they can pocket your severance.
And union will not strike because union doesn't want to pay out. They are going to settle on a crappy contract just to hang on to the dues. Who is screwing who?
-kqs So right. UNion will do all it can to hold on to DUES PAYING members. Add in the fact that the lowest seniority guy in the NYC /LI area has 15 years. This company wants the union gone by anyway possible. Attrition will take a while , but they will just just hire anyone new, and just pilling more forced OT on whoever is left.
That would require McA$$hole to actually care about employees. Not going to happen.
On the wireline side the union would not go along with that. Does sound good, if it happened people would be running out the door.
