Intel Rumors

#Rumor has it.....rumor has it......rumor has it.

What does rumor have? Well rumor has a few people that really don't know anything for sure spreading fodder on the net for a couple of thousand others to look at and spread.

Do all those hanging on and hoping for the best a favor and STOP!!!

There are enough people in this industry and many others going through hard times right now. They don't need this kind of thing going on. You do this here, someone reads it and takes it to work with them. It bleeds out unto the field and destroys any moral that is there making very long days.

I didn't see a single thing on the net about Intel, Ichan and a hostile takeover. Nada. Zip. Nothing. Where's your proof @-uqd

I think the original post is an Intel HR troll. And I hope that rumor below is true and BK will get the boot out. BK seems to be adhering to a "hope and pray" (h&p) strategy for everything but the datacenter (h&p that PC sales stop declining, h&p that we get into phones, h&p that we get into more than a handful of tablets, h&p that someone can wave arms in the right way to convince buyers that "connectivity to datacenter" is enough to get IOT to pay >100% more for CPUs...etc).

No Rumors here:

According to a FB post by Wind River Chief Marketing Officer, Mychal McCabe, Intel doesn't know what they are doing with IoT, so he likes our chances of survival within Intel.

http://fortune.com/2016/01/06/intel-wind-river-intigrate/?xid=yahoo_fortune

"We've been a wholly-owned subsidiary since 2009. At no time during the last six years has Fortune described us as a major business or, frankly, given us a second thought. Narrative in play is either that our parent is taking IoT more seriously or that our parent has no idea what they are doing in IoT. I like our chances." -McCabe

Rumor has it that BK will be fired before the end of the year and Intel will cut over 20% headcount to get down to 90k employees.

OP, you might try dropping the "hanging on and hoping for the best" and do what Intel has trained you to do best. 1) Analyze your situation objectively,2) make plans that are in the best interest of your own career. 3)Make back-up plans to those plans. 4)Execute the plans. Hope is not a strategy.

This (OP post) is what is called "blaming the victim". If you want to blame the right person look to the failed strategies and policies from the top of Intel. The "rumors" are what this site is all about! - and the purpose is to give people advanced notice of potentially devastating changes that could affect them. If you don't want to see that then you shouldn't be on this site.
