Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Data received today

Looks like over 1200 people based on the book listing job titles and ages of everyone laid off. Around 400 pages with 30-35 names per.

The book listed all employees in given jobs, not just those laid off. If a Materials Engineer was laid off as listed in the first section, all Materials Engineers were listed in section two, to show the ages of those remaining. No, not all the jobs listed in that book were eliminated.

They will say it was a coincidence. Even then most of us signed the severance package that removes them from fault. I was told by hr that no performance issues were noted but they would not put that in writing...that I just happened to get picked randomly. BS there were people hired after me still able to provide for their family and keep their job. There was plenty of work, there was plenty of funding, and there was plenty of unpaid overtime on my part to show I was willing and able. None of that was good enough so hello foreclosure and bankruptcy...My rewards for ruining my life and choosing to work here.

RIF employees will NOT be offered/picked up for new postings at the company?! They will in fact be treated the same way as anyone that walks in off the street per the separation agreement. If not worse as they are now "damaged goods". To a hiring manager "There must be a reason they were picked and they were probably hurt by it, so better go with fresh blood". It is going to take every ounce of strength in me to act like this has not created a large negative opinion of the company and on my life in future interviews with other jobs. Should I ever even get one! The market is now saturated with unemployed people desperate for work who, through no fault of their own, now need to overcome crushing depression and panic attacks associated with keeping a roof over their head. Thank you Honeywell for showing us all what hard work and dedication means. You now have 16,000 new victims of your greed and inability to see the pain you cause not to mention the remaining employees who now live on the false promise that this will never happen to them. Cote gave public talks on how he avoided mass layoffs (https://hbr.org/2013/06/honeywells-ceo-on-how-he-avoided-layoffs). Then performs mass layoffs anyway afterward, once the dust settled. My life and my career are now ruined...thanks Honeywell.

Correction Poway and Moorestown sites certified for TAA program. Olathe is being investigated. Foreign competition and job loss in US due to "high growth region" in other words foreign competition. Which ever way it is spun, there are assistance programs.

Look into TAA assistance for anyone that was laid off . Since jobs are being loss due to outsourcing. Federal assistance started with NAFTA. Look into it Pauly site is already certified . Morris town so I already certified .

I made same error

400 pages x 3 names = 1200

400 pages x 30 names = 1200

I see more like 400 pages x 40 name s= 16,000 16 thousand

yeah, everyone I know that got laid off (including me) is over 50. Very sad and it will be super hard to get hired elsewhere. :-(
