He just copied and pasted that right off of a hiring site. Or perhaps a new hire replacing one of the 8000 just let go. The pay and healthcare benefits are great! The work environment and stress is the trade off. I just pretend like I am a contractor working month to month for my paycheck. My option if I want to do it again next month or find a better job..there option if they want to keep me around and pay me again next month. No more No less. No Verizon Team BS. No extra effort or after hours. No longer a career just a job. I just roll my eyes and say no thank you when the corporate kool aide is passed around our team meetings. So many still with blinders on thinking they are still part of the Verizon Team because they are somehow special or part of the solution. No, you are just being paid less than market value or are being kept to keep the "quotas" of diversity in balance.

I would imagine that in Lake Mary Florida flipping burgers would be considered an executive position. Everything's relative.

The best part is that the company tool fool has no idea that they are being paid half to less than half of their predecessors, and have to work a longer day. That is, until THEY are laid off. What a tool fool.

Thousands have lost their jobs and you come to a layoff board to gloat and rub regular working people's faces into excrement, fully aware that many are suffering anxiety, depression and financial uncertainty. There are other places to post your remarks but you chose to place them where you knew they would cause the most hurt. You f----ing rodent. Fingers crossed you haven't had a chance to breed other sewer vermin like you.

I think the OP started a great discussion here - whatever she or he thinks is not my opinion. The point is, we used to be great and things went down the drain - it's pretty bad today and our morale is so low it sucks big time

Why would you come to a layoff board and brag about how great the company is? Do you have any idea how much pain these underhanded layoffs and "restructuring" cuts have caused former employees and their families? Go someplace else and shill for the company. And enjoy your great pay and benefits while they last, because you might be next.

FkFEvOP that 'used' to be the case, but has not been that way in some time. Now VZ is a PC Palace dedicated to the advancement of 3rd World diversity at the expense of Americans.

It is interesting that you write you write your post from Lake Mary, as the only reason that the company opened up operations in Lake Mary is so they could take advantage of a cheap labor market with no institutional knowledge of what came before.

Lake Mary's operations are proof that you can fool some of the people all of the time. The people hired down there are indeed very nice, but not of the caliber of who they replaced in CA, NJ, NY, TX or WA.

Not aloud to use the restroom, eat lunch or have a life where can I sign up. You just haven't experienced the full VZ work life balance. Oh I forgot to mention not knowing whether you'll be given time off without pay for any of the infractions, or laidoff or terminated, kid do yourself a favor find a job before they beat you down!

Funny! Verizon is full of Nano-Managers and the unriffed that tend to be the NM,s in training that love to regurgitate information as new and unique ideas. There was a time it was good.

It's probably hit and miss within the company. I have had a great group and boss who lives the golden rule and looks out for us. I'm sure there are terrible groups out there. I have a friend in another department who had a not so great boss who ended up getting riffed. Now things are better. In some ways it is what you make of it, but there are definitely some toxic or self-centered people out there. Also some dead weight but the company seems to be losing some really good people along with the marginal contributors.
