Verizon is above any laws, rules, restrictions, procedures, etc. Forgot is one of the words they use when challenged.

It can take fidelity up to 3 weeks to get notification from Verizon that you are off payroll.

Why am I not surprised that Verizon forgot to send over the termination date? The whole layoff process was handled so poorly-it just proves how far the company has deteriorated in it's competency skills.

I called Fidelity and they said that VZ forgot to send over the actual termination date to Fidelity

along with the status change that we are no longer with the company . Fidelity received the status change but no accompanying date.

Fidelity's program needs a date to go along with the status change for the withdrawal program to work I was told.

VZ forgot to send along the date which will be 12/31 for many people. They said it could take from today to a couple of days for them to fix it.
