More layoffs coming in 2016

The Chicago and Southeast cuts are just the opening salvo. It is really hard to show up and perform your job when you know that your job is being eliminated. I've seen folks who did everything the company asked regarding upgrading skills etc. and still their jobs were cut. It is stressful and I realize that's what the company wants. It's really inhuman to see what is happening. My prayers go out to all the people who have their livelihood yanked away because of this. Maybe it's best to leave I don't know.

That's great, heap more pressure on an already stressed out work force. This sh!t comes from the 3rd level and then it filters down through the area manager and it's usually a hard working employee that gets fired. I've seen this behavior many many times. Sooner or later somebody is gonna snap. I wish someone would report this to OSHA or whoever handles harassment. Unfortunately if some totally stressed out person flips out. The company will just do like other corporations and put it on the employee. Shame on you AT&T. Oh I forgot, it's a great place

I am concerned about my job (SE) I am in collections and see them listening to at least one call every hour on my calls. I am not meeting my digital percentage (which is almost impossible because the cx that call us are repeat cx for pa). So many of our managers have Been let go and now our teams are getting bigger even though att has fired some collection reps We used to have 300 reps with 20 managers now we have about 230 reps with 12 managers. Calls are back to back but only because att closed all outsourcing except for East Europe. I believe I will be next to be fired and totally expect this center to be close within the next 6 months.

It is best to leave for sure. The writing is on the wall. Start updating your resume and skills and moving on. AT&T already made their decision that they will outsource IT and anything else they can. By 2020 majority of employees will be gone so make 2016 the year for a new job outside of AT&T. There are a lot of opportunities in cyber security, big data and governance. Upgarade your skills if you need to. AT&T will pay for your skill port license and some of the courses offered there are not too bad especially for CISSP. Use AT&T while you are here to have them pay for your training and move on.
