I was laid off at the end of February 2015 from wireless and we only had a 30 day notice.

Its an unfair playing field..its all who you know. Lets face it for years there have been people that have done NOTHING but ride on the coat tails of accounts that just fed them activations. Sadly VZ measures success by activations etc....so these seemingly "rockstars" were praised. I know people that are HR nightmares and I mean NIGHTMARES yet they are getting rewarded and praised at Kickoffs and winning sales awards. Again all who you know.............

well said FaNy55k-3fcr. Support operations are the backbone and are always the first to get cut, shame shame shame on VZ and it's clueless directors and A.D.'s. i have seen this over and over how the AD's buddy will get the high revenue accounts. Unforunately its all about being a part of the clueless heartless click and not abpout how hard you work. if your son is part of the AD's or Directors little league out in BUTF@@K who cares, you will not get high revenue always busy accounts. Its a big political debacle only getting worse unless they shake things up which I see will be happening.

The only thing I have heard is a 20% store closure happening end of January / beginning of February. But that rumor has been out there for about a month.

FaNy55k-2xyr*I AM A MAM and that is unacceptable to treat support people terrible. I have always said that I could not do my job without the support people. I am hoping to get laid off in January because my region is so political and if you are not in the click you get nothing to work but I know that the click gets accounts that they do not have put in 8 hours or 12 hours that some MAMs have to, like me. I am not looking forward to additional work and the stress that VZW puts on their salespeople! Some have it good and some do not. Very unfair in my opinion.

Couldn't agree with FaNy55k-2cjc more. Keep the high paid worker ( ae/mam) and get rid of the people who actually do everything. I would love to see what happens when these "account managers" now have to do some real work...they are clueless, always looking down upon support as if they are better. I have news for you the unemployment line looks the same for everyone.

I'm sure folks know that B2B has a lot of dead weight floating around, literally. From AE's to MAM's and AD's. These positions should be weeded out not the lower salary Sales Operations folks who are actually the backbone of any sales organization.

What about B2B? Sales operations and MAM's. Any word? A lot of rumors but nothing solid.

Are you talking about Retail? Or B2B? Or WBG?

My guess would be retail and stores.

I was on the wireless side; laid off on November 5 and on the books until December 31st.

Wireless is a 60 day notice before off books. At least that is what all of the people I know, along with me, had. Called in and told my position had been eliminated and they took everything and said I was paid as normal until December 31 and then off the books. 35 years and treated like a temp.
