I see a few bitter posts by those that were let go, and I understand, and empathize. But it certainly isn't the norm.
I've seen the days when this was a fine company with values, and leaders. I hope even now, that it can be again.
There were once so many fine people there, with intellect and values. It is what made the company.
I was let go yesterday, and must confess, that it made me indescribably happy. The company that was, is no more. Alas, recent leaders did so much more harm than good, and knew not our business, nor how to move forward.
I've since spoken with so many, those just let go, and associates still there. It was striking that those that were let go, are so happy, so energized, and so relieved, even though each one had such a strong affinity for the company, and people, that once made Follett an exceptional company.
We remember the many fine people still there, and keep them in our hearts and minds. I can only empathize with the task they have to move forward, but I have faith in them, and confidence that impact of recent management decisions will make obvious that many at the wheel, are in deeply over their heads.
