We were all told a few days ago in a mass email that ALL Directv/Asurion at home call center/tech workers will be let go by the end of this year starting in July - December. I work for them for many years and am not happy. ATT you stink

WOW from another post.
"I'm sorry, but I agree with the company. U.S. Employees that have been here for a lengthy period of time and have fought for contracts, wages, vacations, benefits and lots of other things that are taken for granted by striking and fighting the company don't agree with contract labor. We all believe that these jobs should go to bargained for employees in call centers."
Talk about being clueless and drinking the Kool-Aid. The Union wont blink an eye for you.
Why do you think just because the company has a union the jobs will go to US employees.
Overseas people make 1/3 of the US people. Wake up.
That won't last, in three years time... "game Over"

ATT is moving ALL call center jobs overseas. Within a very short time you will see a majority of the physical work being done in any part left where people are needed moved to contractors. This includes all the Cloud services. Company's that install now will be used to fix any failures and all support will be remote. Now who will you call? Ghost Busters?
Want to be people will think it wont be them it will be the other guy?
What's funny is you blame ATT for buying DTV and doing what it has to, yet its DTV that allowed itself to be bought. I would be mad at DTV for letting it happen in the first place. This goes for any any acquisition as we have a tendency to blame the big fish who swallowed the little fish, but its the damn little company that allowed itself to be bought, so those owners could line their pockets.
