Thread regarding AT&T Inc. layoffs

Meet Bernie Sanders, H-1B skeptic

Most if not all of our jobs are in jeopardy due to the H-1B program. While most Presidential candidates support this program and some even in support of raising the cap, Bernie Sanders has been an outspoken critic of the program as outlined in this article - http://www.computerworld.com/article/2916827/it-outsourcing/bernie-sanders-h-1b-skeptic.html. If you want to protect all of our futures with the company, this program needs to be phased out. We should be training and hiring within our boarders not firing Americans and sending that work overseas.

For those who work for the AT&T Technician Care Center ("TCC") be VERY worried about your jobs. Your jobs are the next to fall as the company has recently hired and trained a new team in India and the Philippines to replace you. They're available 24-7 and as contractors the company does not have the same costs as they do with the unionized employees here in the States.

A vote for Sanders (or any anti-H-1B candidate) deserves our consideration and our vote! Don't vote for those who support this program and support the raising of it's cap!

B. Sanders: "Sanders is skeptical of the H-1B program, and has lambasted tech companies for hiring visa holders at the same time they're cutting other staffers. He's especially critical of the visa's use by providers of IT services that are headquartered overseas."

T. Cruz: "In 2013, Cruz proposed amendments on border security, expanding green card opportunities, increasing high-skilled "H1B" visas and preventing undocumented immigrants from receiving welfare to the Senate's "Gang of 8" bill."

H. Clinton: "I also want to reaffirm my commitment to the H-1B visa program and to increase the current cap. Foreign skilled workers contribute greatly to our U.S. technological development."

D. Trump: Trump is cited by several online sources as being critical of the H1-B program but there's no evidence to point to that would predict what his actions would be should be become President. We can only look at his actions of hiring low paid factory workers to make his clothing overseas.

Can we please not discuss politics or use foul language? I know tensions are high because of the desperate times, but AT&T is the real enemy here.

Vote for whoever you want to. Just please don't tell us.

The only idiot here is the person that believes that Bernie or for that matter any politician will save your miserable job. Stop drinking the kool, grow up and get off your knees you cock sucker.

To the person asking the Bernie Sanders supporter to "get the hell out" you're an idiot. Sanders is the only one who supports an abolishment to the h1b program that will eventually claim all of our jobs.

One thing I would say to this Bernie supporter who started this thread. Get your propaganda crap out of here. This is a blog regarding AT&T layoffs not a solicitation for Bernie voted. No one gives a crap about your politics. Get the hell out and stay out.

"Bernie will be the first one to roll over when companies start giving him money for his support." This opinion runs contrary to his positions. He has been outspoken and active against dark money funneling itself in to campaigns. Sanders isn't beholden to big money.

Bernie is as useless as Hilary. All talk no action. Bernie will be the first one to roll over when companies start giving him money for his support. He is known for being a spineless idiot.

Bernie is the only one in the race fighting for the soul of this country. Huffington Post which is normally pro-Hillary says Bernies plan is the best for the 99% (http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/sanders-economic-plan-bes_b_8906166.html). "Median income would soar by more than $22,000. Nearly 26 million jobs would be created. The unemployment rate would fall to 3.8%." (http://money.cnn.com/2016/02/08/news/economy/sanders-income-jobs/).

Good grief! If Bernie is our next president, everyone can kiss their job goodbye. America will be in the toilet.
