I completely agree with the last post. Union has a right to their opinions and all, but they only represent 20% of Verizon's global workforce. It sux all around, been hanging on for 13 years, its just the means to a paycheck, but they sure make it rough, uncertain, demoralizing.

The place sucks, for mgmt employees as well. Ain't like it's all about the union contract at all.
Because Verizon treats their employees like $hit that's why. I for one am happy so many vent their frustration on here. It shows the world what Verizon is REALLY like. Not the rosy balls commercials and everything else they try to brainwash the public with.
Because we can smell that our company is being run by the next Bernard Madoff.
To OP Why the F do you care that the ATT board has less traffic? I don't think ATT has a corporate structure that is openly hostile to it's employees. Does ATT have QAR program? Has ATTs upper levels come out to a main garage and told the employees ( after discussing reasonable issues) if they don't like it -QUIT?
My apologies ubq. That comment was meant for 1p1.
ubq, why are the comments of unionized individuals trivial in your judgment, and your deep thoughts so superior?
Who cares. This board is for VZ, info about layoffs.
Their union folks have a contract, and clearly don't flood the board with trivial bullshit.
It's active because VZ employees are more unhappy than AT unrealistic sales goals - it's dreadful place - just a sweat shop!
They got a contract
Have you seen the Popeyes board? Louisiana fast my ass.... they had this secret project, something about a dual bladder system with low uptake. Nobody has time for that though. Their 401k is in the tank but everyone there is driving Land Rovers. Bill Cosby had his fingers in more sleepy actresses than Carter had liver pills, but you dont see any of Verizon's suits complain about it. Call it jibberish, but I know you dont believe it. Bridge freezes before road surface, etc.........
