Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Going through nine contracts this one feels very different.

For the first time I feel if we go, we may not return. Never in my memory have we worked two in a row without a deal. This leadership want's to be the group that can make claim to busting the union. Having said that, lets go, they really have zero respect for the union worker.I do think the company leadership underestimates what will happen if we are on the streets for a long stoppage.

Agreed. There have been many posts here about the intentions of this company. People on the east coast feel the same as those in central or west coast (which we sold off). Add to that some deregulation and an unchecked BOD here and you got what you got.

I just don't understand why, if you hate an american workforce, and you hate a unionized workforce why you would come run this company.

Looking back it was lowels mouth-running about what he would do here. So what has he done besides give himself double digit raises? Nothing, is the answer. We are very good at moving money around and creating all these financial and technology illusions. When the bottom falls out, we lose, not lowell.

He is not a leader, he is very much a business version of North Korea's Kim Jing il, from labor to his attitudes about how we should all kiss his ass.

The stock price sucks. For all the money we make and spend and use to do business with, this stock price should be alot higher.

Some people needed their ass kicked as a kid, and it did not happen.

I agree. I've been around for many contract and I don't think we are going to win this one. The company is just not the same. They have no regard for their employee and are looking to replace us with cheap workers.
