Medical Benefits Claim under Cobra

Any one know what number I need call to discuss issue related to medical coverage for RIF'ed employee. I was RIFed and my last date was 12/31. To my understanding I will still be covered under COBRA for my severance duration. However starting 01/01/2016 my prescription card (Express scripts) is denied at pharmacy and don't see any doctor's visit claim after 01/01/2016 in my anthem.com account. When I call both of their customer support (Express scripts 877-877-1878 and Anthem BlueCross BlueShield 1-800-875-6139) they only give the information that my plan expired on 12/31/2015.

I revisited site again. Now anthem.com is showing all my claims after 01/01/2016. Also I called Express Scripts customer service# 877-877-1878 and they confirmed my prescription coverage is active. So clearly after I first complained in this board they realized the problem and rectified. Also from the other feedback in this thread it seems that many others were affected.

In retrospect, due to this intentional(or unintentional) dropout , I had to purchase life impacting medicine out of my pocket and simply skipped other not so life impacting medicine. In brief, I was forced not to follow doctor's prescription. Is there a government agency where I can lodge complaint about it that Verizon didn't provide me COBRA between 01/05 to 01/22.

Same thing happened to me and one of my kids got sick. We had to pay out of pocket for his medication and beg the doctors to see him. I called BCBS and they called the benefits center for me. Apparently you have to opt in, but no one told me.

I also had my card rejected at the pharmacy and cannot get my meds. I think they have screwed up and not enrolled some of us.

That seems strange I just visited a Doctor last week and I'm covered and used eye med last week also and was covered. I also got a new medical card but even if you were using an old one I would think they could have figured that out. This might help even though it is a complicated IVR system, it is supposed to be employee services 800 932 7947
