AT&T bribes and or threatens the media so that media does not write about this. However, the truth is coming out of AT&T illegal and unethical behaivor. It is funny that AT&T recently sent out code of business ethics that all employees need to take. In the course the CEO starred to preach about ethics and integrity. Do these rules apply to him and his leadership. It is time to stop being afraid and stand up for basic human rights. Organizing class action lawsuits for age discrimination will help bring AT&T to its knees.
I don't know why the media didn't report on the 1/21/16 layoffs within TP&E. How does AT&T keep it out of the press?? That's how I stumbled on this site, I was looking to see if the layoffs made the news. I thought the 22% cut of level 1 and 2's not to mention some level 3's getting hit would be newsworthy. Go figure.

AT&T has done a number of outsourcings since 2006-ish to different companies include Accenture, IBM and Amdocs. Thousands of employee division in IT which was outsourced, and continue to date for the most part. The significance of this? My source indicated Amdocs issued WARN Act notices in California, where they have stricter requirements, but AT&T and contractors avoided having to announce reductions in Other cities where not required,, due to public perception of the company
No doubt AT&T plans to completely vacate many building across US, after their lease expires, in the meantime the numbers of employees at both buildings will continue to dwindle, there you go Layoffs will continue as the leases for buildings expire, obviously nothing to do with job performance.
AT&T does not like to make public WARN notices, they rather continue with the stealth layoffs, we have come to love
