If you stayed on payroll up through at least 12/18 you will get an STI check the end of February and it won't be prorated. For those recently RIF'D we deserve that bonus as it is for the 2015 year.

Why would they pay you a bonus if you are not working there?

On the subject of STI, I would urge everyone to consider this : you were RIFed, i.e. your position was eliminated, you were NOT released due to job performance. Accordingly you should receive a reasonable STI.

If you receive a zero dollar STI this would indicate that the reason was in fact performance related. Since the company has to report to the Dept of Labor (for payment of unemployment benefits), under penalty of perjury, that you were not released for job performance, then it would appear to be fraud.

I say this because I'm expecting this will happen to me : I was working in a group that had 90%+ Indian management, and the general staffing level being not much different. There was no overt discrimination, but plenty of covert, e.g. being frozen out of projects and completely ignored in the hallways. My job was immediately advertised on the internet, and was taken down when I challenged HR. Consequently, if I do get a zero STI I will be reporting all the above details to the DOL, USCIS, and local politicians. I urge all of you to do the same in these circumstances.

If your last day on payroll is on or after December 18, 2015, your 2015 STI award will not be prorated and you will be eligible for a full-

year STI award for the 2015 plan year, subject to normal STI plan provisions. In this case, the amount of your 2015 STI award will be

determined during the annual compensation planning process and will be based on individual and company performance and will be

payable in February 2016.

Check the breakdown of the funds. Most people received STI with their final check, but that was wireline.
