first comes the shock since I was one of 12 employees who started my legacy company and it was so fun, 1 switch - 5 cells ....then comes the anger that you are disposed of so indignantly by people who don't know what a T1 is, haven't kept up with technology and don't know how a call routes, don't know what a session-agent or session-group is....yet you are disposed of after spending years of working unpaid overtime, giving up holidays and birthdays etc.....but, then comes the PEACE....the realization that I did all that so now at the age of 56 (after raising two daughters and putting them through college), I have 40 years of fun times ahead of me! Karma will take care of my boss and her boss and all the other people that played their part in being so cruel....while I'm living my life to the fullest! It was a great ride!

I truly admire your attitude and wish I could copy it, but I have a kid a year away from college and another coming up behind him in about four years. Being the breadwinner for the family and with the holidays coming up, this could not have happened at a worse time. How these executives sleep at night is a pure mystery to me. Guess they sleep well on the fat stacks of cash they are awarded at the expense of those of us on the street worrying about making mortgage payments.
Great attitude, we can have a life after we leave this soul stealing company.
You must be very healthy :) based 96 years of projection. Then best of luck with your future. May be the poor management is compelled to choose the heads based on several reasons. 1. VZ has a policy to refresh 10% of staff every year even if it is making more profits than Apple. This will reduce their spend with new blood. one shot two birds. 2. If your supervisor does not cut then he is more vulnerable. 3. HR gives supervisors some freedom to make the changes so there will be best out come to the department 4. Supervisor has a cynical ideas to make some clandestine business with Vendors who provide temp heads. 5. Corporate greed 6. Company is on its death bed..
