It's never mentioned because They don't have to announce anything unless it's a certain number of people let go in a certain branch, office, etc.

To 203868, people on the left are as influenced by advertising dollars as those on the right. When it comes to money the political line seems to vanish.

Call your local stations, especially the ones with layoffs in their coverage/broadcast area. Tell them you will be passing information onto the other local stations if they don't cover it.

Seriously, how has Verizon managed to stay out of the press with this massive layoff? This is a huge hit to the economy and it isn't even done yet. I have never seen anything like it. You can barely even find an article online about it, and certainly has not been on the national news. What is going on?

Some people claim the press is left wing, that's bullsh*t. The press is corporate owned. Make too big a deal out of it and they'll lose Verizons advertising dollars, so they tread very lightly. Same goes for the majority of politicians, they don't want to lose the lobbyist dollars by mentioning the whole country is being sold down the river. I don't know who is supposed to have disposable income to buy any of these products the way things are going in this country.

Smoke and mirrors from an executive level of empty suits who seem to have run out of ideas, pressured by shareholder demands that can't be met. Contracting with global personnel management providers probably looks like salvation on their end of things. But from here it looks like a pit these idiots are dragging us all into.
