Thanks to our politicians - they cut the import/export bank from their government program which financed large contracts like communication satellites. Now these jobs go to other far a way lands, someone else is profiting from our dollars.... It's really sad, and it makes me angry, look at all jobs we are shipping overseas - what kind of jobs are being sent here? No jobs, right... Americans can no longer compete.

Politicians won't know things unless YOU tell them. How many American workers write to their senators and tell them what happened.
Don't expect things to change, unless you take a stand and let the politicians know what is going on ....
Fossil Watches is a good story (they have a lively thread here) - in short, they outsourced pretty much everything, including IT. Quality dropped, people became less engaged, products sucked. A group of Fossil folks took off and founded Shinola Detroit, they make high end watches and leather goods and they are kicking ass - everything is made here in Detroit. OK VZ - good luck with offshoring...
Agree . Off shoring has taken us over in IT . If we do the math , it does not even appear to be cheaper than having US worker . They say salaries are 4:1 for
India: US , but for every US position eliminated , they hire 3 to 4 folks offshore ...now add in all other costs of off shoring , how is it cheaper ??? Jobs gone with off shoring , no one paying taxes , no one spending in our ecconomy , hope our politicians realize how this is hurting our ecconomy
