They just introduced a reform bill on Nov 10 2015. They NEED people's support to make it pass. But hey let's all just sit on our ass and blame the Govt and drink BEER. We don't need to do anything to make sure the bill passes. We can just sit back do nothing and blame the Govt when it fails.

Hatch is sponsoring the I-Squared bill, which would raise the base H-1B cap from 65,000 to 195,000. Sen. Blumenthal is a co-sponsor of the I-Square, but his support of the new Grassley/Durbin bill may be a sign that his views about I-Squared are changing.

I have a very simple solution. H1Bs and L1s are designed to bring in the best and the brightest. You cannot get such a person on 60K/year. So, let's lift the threshold to 200K and if they want to bring bring someone in at that rate, that's fine. If they start doing it I bet you'll see a ton of our youngsters pushing and fighting for those jobs as well. Just stop the 60K nonsense and ask them to pay a premium rate for premium talent.

True it is only 1/2 the issue. But it's better to force offshore to work with American workers than to have offshore work with onshore H1B visa workers. Divide and conquer.
