I absolutely love it! I'm proud to be a VZID and knowing that my contribution will not affect the bottom line what so ever, hence I live a stress-free life. Why wouldn't anyone love working for a company that have intelligent executives that really know their stuff and know how to collect lottery tickets like Digex, Totality, Cybertrust, Terremark or Hughes. They were all industry leaders at the time of acquisitions, and it only made sense to verizonize them. They were small because they didn't have processes and bureaucracy and we made them bigger and better. Better Matters!

Its all perspective; to some it may be fun, but for many others its merely a paycheck.

If we didn't have the fear of potential strike duty looming over our heads,we can always count on the constant fear of a layoff.

Because we can goof off all day and still get paid on Friday for the win.

Because my group works for "an idea guy," who is not in the least bit concerned that his big ideas don't work when the time comes to actually implement them. By then he has already gone on to his NEXT big idea. Whoever got stuck trying to implement his previous big idea will get thrown under the bus if anyone ever notices that what he promised was never done. (And the reason it was never done was that it was never possible in the first place!)

Because most here now spend 8 hours a day thinking about how to butt fu*k their own employer. And round and round we go. You hate me, i hate you. Lets dance.... Bad for business. Bad for morlae. Bad for productivity. But it's the new verizon CHECK.

It's nice to know that in wireless there is an unspoken rule to the amount of people that we are told to hire that are not white males. Fact not fiction.

Because you have an opportunity to live and work in a real, live Garry Adams, Dilbert comic strip.

Have you started this thread after deleting the thread that was discussing the killing of Tampa employee? Los like you just started this thread to divert the people from the killing of the management employee.

It is always nice to know that you are nothing more than a number and replaceable. This makes the environment conducive to growth beyond anything you ever thought possible. You can have the privilege to watch the in crowd promoted to their highest level of incompetency. This is all so much fun to know they succeed directly from your work and during curtailments, the privileged (ass kissing email forwarding loosers) will be placed in safe locations while you are allowed to take the hit. So much fun!

Because it a breading ground of dirtiest corporate politics. You can see the lowest of the low in corporate America on the floors. You can see weakest HR of corporations which support the dirty unfair judgements of the supervisors.
