So if we want to change carriers, what is the best one? I heard T-Mobile is inexpensive but service not so great. I don't know anything about att quality. What's the general consensus out there?

use any MVNO that operates on Sprint, At&t or t-mobile network. I use H2O wireless. It's pretty cheap and same service as AT&T.
TMobile is awesome. No issues in San Francisco Area. 4 lines for $100.
How is Sprint & TMO coverage in Tampa?
Thanks #542 ~ really appreciate that info
In WPA, AT&T, TMO are as good as vz. sprint has unexplicable dead zones....but is getting better. and if you bark at AT&T or Sprint you will be sent a FREE micro-cell for best in home coverage. TMO you can call over wifi. Now with Vz....you just pay more.
Thank you to everyone who added useful info here; I really appreciate it. Looks like I need to head to Sprint and check out the service for my area (Pgh).
f*** you 120
My wife has had Sprint, TMO and ATT's through her work. ATT is marginally better than TMO, TMO is significantly less expensive. Spring is just weird and spotty. If you are in a metro area, TMO gives you the best bang for your buck. If you are in burbs, you really need to check what's going on in your neighborhood, ask your neighbors about reception/speed. In my neck of the woods (West Irvine) it's a bit hilly and VZ is the only one that works in son's school and in our house.
120:What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul....
T mobile is the only choice, if you don't to get screwed , I had all others, do not recommend AT&t and their tactics
Thanks for the incredibly unhelpful reply and worthless contribution, #120.
Seems like employees should know how the competition stacks up.
T-mobile service is perfect if you work and live in the city/metroplex. (Most of us do). Also no overage penalty
ATT is good for traveling between cities and to remote areas.
VzW is unnessary and will break ur wallet unless youre upper middle class. Like i said, its unnessary
Oh wow, that's great to hear about T-Mobile and the 1 week trial. I'm going to do that because if the service works good in my area, that would be awesome with the price plans they offer. Thanks so much
I have t mobile... works great. They have a program where you can try an Iphone for a week to see if it works for your area. We did a side by side and both were the same.
I have 4 phones with T-Mobile with 10gig each. I guess it depends on your location but my service is great. I can watch vids with no problem., and 10gig is a lot.
Try them first and if it works for you it is the best.
Not ATT for sure, and what ever you do, do not bundle!!!
That's what I had a feeling about t-mobes. Anyone have opinion or first hand experience with ATT?
T Mobile is cheap for a reason.
There coverage in so so at best.
we're looking to port all of our devices out too, as are all our family and friends - big CHURN coming to VZW; still doing a study on which way we are going to go
