And just for my own clarification, the wireless techs that were let go, were they field/cell techs? Our manager gave us the impression that all wireless tech cuts were done (for now). Of course, I realize that he may have been given inaccurate info, or he was giving us inaccurate info.
Just clarify, "copper" is a misnomer. Less than 10% of my day for the last decade is spent on "copper". Fiber is and has been the name of the game for a long time now (not just FiOS, all the transport, all the GiGE, etc.
Wireless can't survive without Wireline. Cell phones aren't line of sight like walkie talkies! We need each other (wireless and wireline) to survivie, those that are left need to start acting as such.
Does anyone know if any Executive directors or directors were laid off, and what is the criteria for being laid off, please respond?
