Stop the bleeding and Unionize. Stop the outsourcing. Unionze. Stop the H1Bs. Unionize. Have a voice. Unionize. Don't listen to to the company rats bashing the Union. They want you to stay like lambs being lead to slaughter.

617...my point exactly. If you join in 2015, you are still in jeopardy of getting RIF'ed, so don't understand the union rally call. Would have been nice before 2003...
322- the only RIF's on wireline were people hired after 2003 and management, all others are protected from layoffs under the union contract.
Union dues are 1/2 hour a week, hardly a ton of money and it is times like these where they are worth every penny of it.
Don't understand this mentality as the unionized VZ has been going through Riffs forever...
Some of the greatest companies in the world have unionized work forces. It's on here in the US that people buy into the corporate BS. Executive team is lining their pockets with your future. Stock won't rise. Dividends won't change. Executive bonuses , well you can bet they'll be through the roof after this.
@Anonymous 194610, When you say "better", do you mean how they took the pension away from you 10 years ago and how they can fire you without cause just to make the stock price go up a nickel? You are free not to like unions if you please, but recognize that there are advantages.
Unions would have totally eliminated the competitive pressures of the industry. Go with that.
What do you think Verizon paid you out of the goodness of their hearts. The unions set the standard and fought for every benefit they offer and you receive.
You are a complete selfish moron. Keep the better pay and benefits. That will do you a lot of good when you're laid off. Try working for a living. No need to bash the union.
Why, so I can take a pay cut? No thanks. I'll continue enjoying better salary and better benefits that the union shlubs.
