I was laid off after 18 years of loyal service to VZW this past March. It's a tough pill to swallow, but stay positive. There's a lot of opportunity for people with our experiences from a company like VZW. Be aggressive and strategic about networking. You're post is very positive. That's the mindset to have. I took it very personal at first, but bounced back. Best wishes on your new chapter. Now you get to re-invent yourself.

I was laid off purely due to management politics, and my lay off was truly uncalled for it, it was beautifully played by management level because no one at VZW was asking question including HR
I had 20, wont be easy, I amnot 20 anymore
My husband and were both let go last week 36 and 33 years of loyal service ....they don't care
I am sorry to hear this. Yes, every single one of us will bounce back (I was let go yesterday)
