Does anyone know know total number of RIFS from last week and this week ? And overall total when all said and done by 11/19? There is nothing out there... no press release, no serious media outlet asking for the number. Verizon simply gets to decline to disclose? They are going to have to eventually when reporting quarter and annuals. Looks bad not being transparent and upfront.

They'll release the numbers in time. Wall Street loves hard numbers in that department. Look for a slight bump in VZ stock price. I'm waiting for the Street's reaction, then I'm dumping my shares.

I heard payroll received notice that 3,000 more employees were notified on 11/5. More coming on 11/19.
As of October 29, it's 5600...I'm in that group! The complete total by Nov 19 is supposed to be 9000.
They will not tell you. Also, if they cut let's say 10K, they will hire 2K in India, 1K in the Philippines, 100 here and 200 there. A few H1Bs today, a few contractors tomorrow. So, when you add that all up, the overall loss of 10K will not show, it's called 'a silent butt f***ing of domestic labor' without anyone noticing
