All, I was let go 3 years ago after a long run with Vz. My first move was to step away from the crazy and relax. I took a few months off (I was
"fortunate" enough to be let go in June) and got all those Vz years out of my system. Then I began to search for jobs that I WANTED to do, not
the first offer that came along. Long story short(er), I took a year off and then landed a job with a tech company. Yes I took a pay cut and reduced
vacation but I do NOT worry about the next round of layoffs, I do NOT worry about my job going overseas, and I do NOT believe that many other
companies are offering the salaries & packages that we got at Vz. Times have changed, but life goes on. There is definitely life after Verizon.
