Communications Workers of America Local 2201

For Verizon Members:

The Local received and EISP declaration for specific titles and locations from Verizon today. If you are affected a package will be sent to your house. If you do receive a package and you are aware of contractors doing your work than please call the Local immediately. The declaration read as follow:

"Packages will be mailed beginning today, November 3, 2015. The volunteer period is November 10, 2015 through December 9, 2015. Volunteers whose applications for EISP are accepted will have an off-payroll date of December 20, 2015."

Unions are in part the cause of this crap. Sorry but they outlived their usefulness decades ago. Be glad for the work and just work. Screw paying union dues! The company has generous pay and benefits. Just ask us on the wireless side who've been earning all the profits for the company for years and taking hits because of unions on the wireline side. So shut the heck up and work if you have a job! All of us are taking a huge hit and your unions have not helped
