OT- overtime
Mook- a contemptible or corrupt person.
OT Mook- someone who is ripping off the company and making the team look bad by padding his/her overtime.
For example "Joe Schmoe was out on that call for 3 hours, only worked on the site for an hour, but wrote down 5.5 hours on his time sheet. What a mook.
We had 25 sites each I'm our market. Divided to 4 techs. Now I guess it will be like 33 each unless they reassign from up north all the way down and only give each a few more. We now have 3 techs not 4

we lost 1 cell tech out of 4 in my work group last week.
Exactly, 097. Pride, and integrity. Sure, in any department there are going to be people who try to take advantage of the system, always looking for ways to do the bare minimum, but I have known many cell techs over the years, and aside from a few lugs, they were all good guys. Hard workers who truly appreciate their jobs, take genuine pride in their ability to troubleshoot and keep their sites up, but who also know their own worth.
Well said 880. I myself also am a Cell Tech and I know what you are talking about. Hopefully all will work out. The call outs and time away from family, only because we take pride in our jobs, and do whatever it takes to get the job done.

Hey, 818, go f*** yourself. People are losing their jobs, or afraid of losing their jobs, worried about their families, and YOU decide to troll your bullshit out at the cell techs?!? The cell techs?! Which are you lacking, brains of balls? Either you're so stupid that you don't realize where we ALL need to be directing our criticism, or, you KNOW where to direct the blame, but you just lack the balls to do it. My husband busts his ass for VZ, constant on calls that he didn't ask for, in other words, not an OT Mook. There have too many times to count when he has returned from a site that was a 2 hour drive away, 3 a.m., only to get another call from the NOC 5 minutes after he got back into bed. And he STILL clocks in by 8:30 the next day, and that means CLOCKED IN, in the field, at or on his way to a site. So take your lame troll act and shove it up your ass.

Crown castle has been doing a lot of contracting for VZW. I interviewed for a job with them in NYC. The position was to work on vzw small cells and das system.
How much truth is there in the SBA and Crown theory?
Cell techs worrying about layoff. You guys bitch when you have to go out to the sites when called. You leave sites down for extended periods.which adds up to loss revenue.
