YES be concerned (if you have close friends / family at VZW or VZL) but probably NOT about him. He is getting his marching orders to deliver to the troops. this week and week after next.

It's not good - but it does not mean that he'll be on the chopping block. They may inform them what needs to be done, talk strategy, issues. He may hear who will be cut, but he may be spared. At the same time, you do not know who is on the list so it can be anybody. This is nerve wrecking, but hang in there. Cannot change much at this point, just be patient. At least the job market looks good.
Take one day at the time, no need to worry about thing we CAN'T control...
Hope u have a plan b ready. I didn't and had to cash in my 401, pension, and kids 529. Good luck. These execs don't care for anyone. They should be brought up on charges.
