Thread regarding AT&T Inc. layoffs

I am not believing any of this.

Of course there will be layoffs when a merger or acquisition happens Managers are being moved to other positions. The reason is AT&T wants to keep qualified dedicated employees. Soon things will be back to normal and btw AT&T is hiring call center employees in AR AND will be hiring in Orlando in January.

They cam for the guy down the street and I said nothing, they came for the guy in back and I said not me. they camphor the guy next to me and I said he must be doing it wrong, they now want me and I said impossible, I do a great job and the company really cares for people.

Fools never learn and the executives know most will look the other way and ignore the obvious.

The biggest fool is the one who started this post.

The reason none of this is on the news is because AT&T buys a lot of commercials for televison. Now if they weren't buy commercials this would be on the news

ATT loves trouble with the economy, and it is quite simple. Sending US jobs overseas, the result: jobs thay doesn't pay much. And because supply of labor is high, there is no reason to raise wages.

Thisgoes beyon mergers and aquisitions, which do result in various layoffs andmovement. With AT&Ts intention to become a SDN company, this will reslut in many jobs beingobsolete becausethey will be automated. Customer interaction can be done by anyone except here in the US as we live in a country full of folks who think they are worth more than they are. ATT has no obligation to this country, or any other for that fact. If the Indian folks cannot do the job cheaply, ATT will go elsewhere. Why keep so much overhead when it can contracted out? Its a business decision driven by the stockholders who demand it. They happen to be regular folks who may own one share or 10000 shares, either way they all vote to make money, unfortuneately the average american worker is over paid, lazy, narrow minded, staetist minded, andhave no clue of how economics or business is run. Just like the baby-boomers, you think you self entitled and that government, and thus corporations owe you a job, for life.

You did it to yourselves folks. Wake up and think of the larger picture here. You are goingto lose your job and you are going to do it voluntarily and be happy about it ,because you are so obsessed with technology and how cool it is and all the neat little apps. Yet you are blind to the fact of the prison you are building and the job you are helping to build yourself out of.

Yes, I work for ATT, and have for along time, but at least I do not wait around forthe axe to fall. They are telegraphing it (pun intended), so take a hint.

You are blind. Everyone is getting laid off and being outsourced to Indian firms. Good American jobs are being replaced by cheap labor. Stop drinking the 2020 pool aid.
