Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Here is a funny joke (or maybe not even funny).......=D-eye-ego

This guy is bankrupt on every level. Full of empty ideas and nothing original or novel...just hot air...hot air...hot air.

What is beyond ridiculousness is that the so called "leaders" are so incompetent and are miserably failing to recognize that the series of meaningless changes brought by this clown are simply the start of the beginning of the end.

He said the "check" is a symbol of getting things done, so he decided to go from a Big provocative "check" to a small, almost invisible "check"....and that is exactly the scale of how much meaningful work they will get done going forward.

By the way, I didn't even lose my job!

Tel me about it. And the "Go90" app was a bomb. Whoch the marketing alone cost 80 million. There needs to be young, fresh talent at the top. Not mindless drones who are out of touch.

Every home needs internet and it is not regulated business. And FIOS is the greatest inrernet product in the US. Even Goole is trying to build the fiber optic service in some cities now. Not sure why fios is not able to compete against cable companies. It is because our video product is too bad and customer doesn't like our bundle?

On Fios growing its footprint, it's a lot tougher when it comes to apartment buildings than single family homes. Older building have old cable wiring that's sub optimal for FiOS and often the building owners want payola to let another provider in.

The factor is that some neighborhood have residents who can't afford a premium service like FiOS. So bad debt (people who cannot pay after installation) is an issue. If people are living at or near the poverty line it make no sense to wire them for Fios. They can't pay what it costs to bring them service.

Politicians like to talk about something that's a contradiction, low cost, very high speed broadband. Even google charges $70 per month just for broadband. Not exactly cheap.

VZ leadership conveniently blames T-Mobile, Sprint, and Millennials instead of accepting their failures. And this leadership is shrinking the business instead of growing it. How can they still blame the world for their dumb business plans and hallow mindedness!!!

If you are a mgmt employee and you do not support the new logo then you are an outcast. If you have independent though and if you express your ideas then you will be on the rif list. In this company we can not have meaningful exchange of ideas or discussion. Leadership in this company means being "politically savvy". If your boss thinks a dog is a goat then you should immediately support that idea. Otherwise you are "not in tune with the mgmt". If you know South Korean rule then you can draw a parallel.. victimization and character assassination are the tools of the VZ mgmt. And HR is so powerless that no one wants to report such bad behavior to HR.

The fact that so many are screaming for FiOS and cannot get it is a telling story. Poor planning and management of delivering service. Poor budget management and spending in delivering service. I do not know who they asked but it seems that they asked the wrong people and chose the wrong people to managed these funds. Now we see New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey screaming about taking tax breaks and not delivering. To be captured saying that since you cannot have exclusive rights to Co-op City then you will not deliver goods. To tell Boston that you have no plans on delivering is telling itself. They could have had the market cornered since no one provides the top quality of video they way FiOS does. The internet speed they provide is the best I have seen. There is no cable provider that can consistently maintain that speed to the home at all hours of the day. Poor vision on their part.
