Ok... Has anyone that was offered a severance - 2 weeks for each year tried to negotiate???
If so, what did you ask for???? I am not trying to push my luck... And walk away with the lint in my pocket...

Take the money and run. The longer you take to decide, the longer they will hold your severance payout. If you have over $300-500/an hour to pay a real LABOR lawyer (not your brother's cousin's nephew who failed the Bar 2 times) to "view" your termination documents. You dont seem to have a money problem.
get a severance lawyer... they will help you with the negotiation. Without an attorney you will have a tougher time. It will be worth your time and effort to talk with one about your options. It is possible don't let others tell you it isn't.
You can STILL take legal action if you sign the severence deal. I was told by an EEOC official, YESTERDAY, when I filed my complaint, that no, the agreement does prevent legal action if the company has violated equal employment laws.
Unions negotiate, not employees and managers
Take the deal.
I don't believe that my supervisor will be able
To deliver the message period. Let alone- discuss the package....
I'm sure we all received the same severance package... Honestly, I think they were pretty generous. While I rather have my position still, they could have given us half of what they did. OR nothing.
The severance package is non negotiable two weeks per year take it now before it goes down to one.
This is a legal contract. You have the choice of signing the contract (which includes language that you accept the terms of the layoff and in this acceptance you are given X in a pay out and X in benefits. The acceptance also includes that YOU CANNOT seek legal action). If you do not sign the contract, you do not get the severance offered. If you want to request anything different, you will need to hire a lawyer. Plain and simple.
Not sure if your supervisor would know how to handle such a question. He just would read a scripted message and handover a package that is probably sealed.
