Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

TIME TO RISE AND UNIONIZE WITELESS

TIred if working in fear? Tired of living under Lowells bullshit? Want to send a message to Lowell and his overpriced millionaire friends in Wireles? Contact one of the Verizon Wireline Unions and organize. You think McAdsms gives a shit about you non union workers? Think again. Sure Witeline is having layoffs but they can't pick and chose like Wireless. Imagine Wireline and Wireless picketing side by side. Remember the last contract when Wireline pictketed your stores and showed no fear towards Lowell? UNIONIZE WIRELESS before you get called in next.

Unions just want my money. I would rather speak for myself.

Layoffs come even with Unions, and then you pay a por to on of your salary to a group whose ideals you may not agree upon all the time to negotiate a contract for benefits that are already better than most other companies in the industry. For those of us that get to stay, if you think unionization is the answer, great, but think of the consequences for everyone, not just those that agree with what you believe. Thisover hurts, I lost a lot of good friends and talented people, but rushing to a union who won't really fix my issues and cost me more money each month is not the answer for me.

"There is a general sentiment that the tech-financing market is getting tougher at every corner, Layoffs are only one symptom of a souring market — rising burn rates, bulging accounts receivables, and bankruptcy filings will all come together when the bubble bursts.
