Hey, how about all the great VZW talent that just got let go...go to ATT and give VZW a run for its money! Truth is that the Networks are equal...at this point great leaders and talent will set them apart...

Cell tech position listed for ATT in Overland Park, & days ago. Are they letting go higher paid and/or underperforming techs?
At&t worked around did not even gave compensation in IT St. Louis 4 years ago they gave IT department to Accenture after 1 year Accenture layoff most of people that what i heard.
Anonymous189275 : I work at AT&T and that is what 3 techs will recieve. Their last day is Tuesday. I posted here since the title of the topic has AT&T in it. At&T is going through the same layoffs as Verizon so it would be very difficult for VZ people to get on at AT&T.

I meant to say 'the 10 people in our C&E department were told they could look for other jobs in AT&T. Company wide it was 5,000 managers that lost their jobs. Also, our group had 3 techs who accepted a buyout and 4 had to go to other departments. So this is 7 techs out of a total of 40 that we will be losing. Although, the techs each got about 3 years pay since they have 40 years each of service.
I work at AT&T and I see Verizon and AT&t going down the same path. AT&T expects to have 60% fewer managers by 2020 due to delivering service via software solutions and getting away from hardware. We just laid off 5,000 managers who got off the payroll the end of September. These layoffs will continue until 2020 under AT&T's "Vision 2020" plan. We laid off wireless and many I.T. jobs went to India so if you are at Verizon I wouldn't look to AT&T to hire you. What manager would want to take on an employee if they know they will have to layoff again in a year. Most of us managers think there will be yearly layoffs until 2020 and then in 2020 we will have one huge layoff. I'm in my mid 50's with 25 years and if I were a younger person with a marketable college degree I would find a different company to work at.
Att only hire H1B visa Holders, cheap labor, good luck with that!!!
Haha! You guys really think AT&T is better? We reduced our workforce last year and the year prior. We have already reduced the number of regions which is why we aren't getting hit THAT hard this time around. We also have been given WARN notices which will be followed by announcements on nov 5.
