Is there anyone from NJ that was recently affected? If so, what was the severance offer? Benefits? Etc? How was it initiated? What should I expect here.? A phone call.. a meeting. what?

I got a phone call at home since i was on vacation. "Employed" on paper till the end of year, then 2 weeks severance for every year of service.
I know someone who got a phone call, out of the blue, from their new boss saying they were transitioning to another team instead of lay off. They haven't heard anything else since. Other people have been pulled into meetings. Its a mess.
