I am in a bathroom stall for fear of being seen on this site but I have walked by both rooms several times today and no one is in either room. I fear they recieved the axe I somehow survived yesterdays RIF. But I was told Rifs are lasting for 10 days. I have just been called into a mandatory meeting while typing this I will keep all updated.

Don't move your family, get there first and make sure you will get to keep the transfer, I seen people terminated after relocation
Relocating is stupid unless they guarantee your job in writing for five years. Plenty of people have been laid off from VZW after relocating. Some within months of relocation.
Man, that is rough, I'm sorry. We went thru this with another telecom co, and that is a very tough call, especially when we have heard from people here that they were let go yesterday, after recently relocating for the job. That is a situation nobody wants to be in. Good luck.
I'm back with an update I was offered a relo package which I can't take due to my wife and kids being in school. I am waiting for security to walk me to the door with my belongings.
I hope she/he is ok... That's a long ass pause...
