Wrongful Termination or Employment Attorney In Alpharetta GA (possible Solo or Class Action)?

Do you think that I might have shot if I was to pursue my case legally, I am very close to retirement, I always had stellar reviews and people with less experience and less knowledge were left while I was let go. I cannot share more details but wanted to see what you all think about this option? I think that I may have a shot, at the same time I have very limited financial means to go through a long legal battle.I hope we would be able to go with a Class Action suite (I think there was an issue with WARN notices too - so that might be a class action as well). Any thoughts are very much appreciated.

Go for it, get a legal advise even if you feel you don't have a case but don't let these Verizon undercover damage control idiots discourage you

Call Rene Roupinian in San Fran 415-638-8800, that's all what she does. You can google her or go to youtube see one of her videos, she's an attorney and a great of supporter of worker rights and specializes in WARN litigation. She sued dozens of Fortune 500 companies.

Only a lawyer can tell you if you have a case (or they are willing to take it on). More often than not, you will be able to find an attorney willing to take just about any case on. However, you don't necessarily need to hire a private attorney if you believe you are being discriminated because of your age. Age discrimination is protected under Federal Law. Talk to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). They have field offices all over the country. Schedule an appointment and in the meantime, document everything that's happened with 100% accuracy. Best of luck!

60 Day WARN notice is a Federal requirement.

Even if you have a case, you'll need to do a cost benefit analysis. Can you withstand months, even years of litigation? Do you have a perfect employment file? Do you have independent income?

heard CA needs 60-day notice. If u didn't get notified by today, then you're probably safe.

Your only hope would be to make it a class action. If you try to fight a Fortune 500 company alone, you better have $500K to spend for legal fees. Even your own attorneys will bait you into a fight. And I 99.99% sure a lawyer won't take this on contingency. Verizon will delay till you die if they feel they can't win. And if they win, you'll still have difficulty collecting.

So unless hundreds or thousands are willing to join in, I'd recommend not trying to take legal action.

Google EEOC & age discrimination and follow the process to file a complaint. The Labor Department is very familiar with Verizon and Verizon is very familiar with the Labor Department. No lawyer required to file a claim.

I, and many others in Irvine CA are in the same boat re: I am very close to retirement, I always had stellar reviews and people with less experience and less knowledge were left while I was let go.
