Is it paid over time or in 1 lump sum? What about bonuses?

I survived the RIF 6 months ago. You get the option of taking the severance package now (all in one lump sum). Or wait 60 and see if you can find a job within Verizon. Even if u take the severance package immediately, you won't see it for at least a month.
It is paid in 1 lump sum. Keep in mind you can't go exempt and taxes will take half of it.
Usually VZ leadership eats your bonus. That is why they target these RIFs around the end of the year.
I'd like to know too.
