Senior Management which are in positions of relative power, remain silent and in doing so, condone the actions of our organization as a whole. We adopt the language of “fiscal austerity” and “fiduciary responsibility” in justifying the unconscionable treatment of our co-workers, people we used to value become the new corporate tragedy.. Greed

Engagement is a big buzzword these days. I regularly see reports and polls measuring engagement or lack of it. Endless strategies are being discussed to attract “top talent” or retain it., at the end does not matter if you were top in your class, your time has come, You are not needed anymore.

Loyalty’s been declared dead or near death in today’s workplace. It was, “killed off,” The Shifting Definition of Workplace Loyalty, “through shortening contracts, outsourcing, automation and multiple careers.” Considering the future of workplace loyalty is something that will be found in history books.

Honestly some people in the management fought. But they were not powerful enough to make a difference. Especially if the orders are coming way way way way up.

Right at the top executive level.........

I have repeatedly told my children there is only one loyalty and that is to yourself. Loyalty died a generation ago as regards loyalty to your employer.

"Over 50 and out of work", if you are in you 40's , start planning. statistics show that you have the highest percentage probability of loosing your job, that any other "Age Group" regardless of your work performance or education, before the landmark "50"
