They have 300K employees, and the word on the street is that they are planning to cut 30 to 50 thousands in 2016

Older guys always get screwed
People that worked 20+ years, have to sigh the release waver, that is if they want severance pay
No suprise about ATT, just ask former Lucent employees from the early 90s

Yep, out team was let go in July, 14 of 24, mostly in their 50's, very accomplished professionals, I did find out the we were replaced by newbies with no experience
They have been shedding 10k/year for a decade or so
