Wireline has been releasing people since last winter and has not stopped. Finance to be hit on 11/19. Engineers were hit 3 weeks ago. PMs were let go this past summer. Wireless now has to be streamlined to equal wireline layout.

5000 is out of 35000 non union employees. Right? That will be about 15%. It is a big number.
Too bad the directors and executives didn't loose their LTI comp packages when the employees lost theirs. Their LTI packages cost millions. How many employees could keep their jobs if those exorbitant packages were eliminated?

Wireline has been cutting 5-10% year after year for the past 10 years. How people are not aware of that is incredible.
There are rumors that wireline IT will have major cuts- in the range of 15 to 20% on 11/5 or 11/6. Can someone confirm?
