Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

A company birdie has whispered to the union leaders about more cuts on wire-line side. 1st qtr.

Anyone hired after 2003 has a target on them now. The birdie has said that the company knows it's bad for business but more heads need to be cut. A surplus will be declared then an EISP offered. No dollar amount yet. Simultaneously a sweeping RIF will be made for management with the span-of-control being even greater for those who survive it. So more workers per manager. The birdie hails from the NY/NJ area and is very reliable.

Happy Holidays.

Yes but the OP seems to be talking just about management, nothing was said about union in their post.

Awesome! The last ISP did not include any field techs in FAA 1 and 2 (maybe 3?) I can tell you there are a lot of FTs that if the deals works for them , will be out the door. I hope to lead the way!
